QUARTER ECONOMY OF QUARTER SULAWESI III-2018 GROWING 6.62 PERCENT

Abstract

The economy of Southeast Sulawesi in quarter III-2018 measured based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reached Rp 30.58 trillion and on the basis of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp 22.64 trillion.

Southeast Sulawesi's economy in quarter III-2018 grew 6.62 percent (y-on-y), up from 6.56 percent in Q3 / 2017. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Educational Services Business Field at 9.57 percent. In terms of expenditure, achieved by the Component of Export of Goods and Services which grew by 81.61 percent.

Southeast Sulawesi's economy in quarter III-2018 grew by 3.31 percent, slowing down compared to the previous quarter at 7.18 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, this was caused by mining and quarrying activities which only grew by 3.96 percent which was one of the largest shares in the economy of Southeast Sulawesi. Whereas from the expenditure side, it was caused by the growth of the Export of Goods and Services Components by 14.19 percent.

In terms of production, the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries business fields made the most dominant contribution to the Southeast Sulawesi GRDP, amounting to 23.64 percent. While in terms of expenditure, the most dominant contribution occurred in the component of Household Consumption Expenditures (PK-RT) of 49.04 percent.
