Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi with all its natural resource potential has opportunities in foreign trade as reflected in export statistics. Export Statistics Data is obtained from the Export Notification Document (PEB) from Customs and Excise. The commodities that have been Southeast Sulawesi's mainstay include iron and steel and various marine products, while the export destination countries are spread across the continents of Asia to America.
The export value of Southeast Sulawesi in September 2024 reached US$276.02 million or decreased by 13.16 percent compared to exports in August 2024 which were recorded at US$317.87 million. In line with that, the export volume in September 2024 was recorded at 205.88 thousand tons or decreased by 10.55 percent compared to the export volume in August 2024 which was recorded at 230.18 thousand tons.
The import value of Southeast Sulawesi in September 2024 reached US$114.58 million, down 7.34 percent compared to August 2024 or up 30.29 percent compared to September 2023. The import volume in September 2024 was 281.97 thousand tons, down 52.15 percent compared to August 2024 or up 76.68 percent compared to September 2023.
