- Processed from the August National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas). - The Open Unemployment Rate for 2016 is not available until the regency/municipality level because the Sakernas 2016 sample is not sufficient to estimate/measure up to the regency/municipality level.Open unemployment rate: the percentage of the number of unemployed to the total labor force. This measure shows the ability of the economy to create jobs that are able to absorb the existing supply of labor. The higher the value, the more unutilized labor supply. This indicator can provide signals about the performance of the labor market and the course of certain economic conditions, such as recessions, changes in business and technology cycles, and others.
